Pražmo

Pražmo is a little village lying in the beautiful environment of Beskydy mountains in the valley of Morávka river. The beauty of these surroundings and interest in life of the mountaineers of Beskydy brought about also the Silesian poet Petr Bezruč to these places. He mentions Pražmo in several poems of his. Maryčka Magdónová, his famous personality, is also buried on the local cemetery. The village, whose original name until 1914 was Pražma, is one of the youngest villages in the area of Beskydy mountains. As the only of the surrounding villages it was founded by the deed of foundation in 1777 by then owner of the dominion of Frýdek, count Jan Nepomuk Pražma.

Tourist path: Pražmo - Kyčera saddle (9 km ascent) - Kykulka - Ivančena (1,5 km ascent to Kykulka and then 1 km descent to Ivančena), Kyčera saddle - Krásná Rekreant (4,5 km), Krásná - Pražmo (1,5 km ascent, further descent to the valley, total of 4,5 km)
