Raškovice

The village expands in the valley of Morávka and Mohelnice river, surrounded by a wreath of Moravian-Silesian Beskydy. The first written mention of Raškovice dates back to 1305. Apart from the traditional farming and weaving it was later a place of industrial production, originally textile production and electrotechnical production a little later. The original housing constructions consisting of agricultural settlements was replaced by modern construction. The village is very well accessible and its surroundings offer a wide scale of possibilities of spending of leisure time for recreation and sports.

- Monument of Raškovice with permanent ethnographic exposition of the history of the village and surroundings

- Three hundred-year-old oaks ? listed protected trees

- Adámek´s villa (Golf Hotel)

- Beginning of artificial water supply channel from Morávka river to Žermanice dam

Tip:

Adámek´s villa

In the past this villa belonged to the kin of Adámkové, who already at the beginning of XIX century The kin belonged to the richest ones in Raškovice for centuries. Their property extended from the road to Skalice to the road to Frýdlant and local names reminding of them are used until today in toponyms Adámkova cesta and Adámkův les. In 1826 František Adámek founded manufacture for dressing of woven fabric. His son Joseph then built a factory out of it, which in 1885 was transferred to the property of the first born son, also named Joseph. Since May 2008 it is reconstructed to a stylish Golf Hotel.
